Darkness just a memory
Parts of me
Float back together
Letting go and accepting
Content
I lay my head against the kind pillow
Supported, I dream
Erasing all the hatred, guilt, sadness
Remembering that I am

A break in a routine and I am jostled like the snow in a snow globe, tiny particles scatter apart, it’s
today I sat at a table
rectangular in shape
long and wide
with seven white people in power
next to the other person of color at the table
