A Good Little Girls Zine

I trace the intricate labyrinth
on the paper
in front of me
considering the pieces of fears that flip like pages
through my brain
I focus my eyes, narrow them to each curve
the skinny tip of my pen glides like figure skates on ice
each stroke erases a page of fear,
reminding me that
I am powerful
I am a force
I am solid

So, I continue to trace
filling up my tank
free of cost
with reality
instead of make believe
instead of
Fake
Experiences
Appearing
Real

When I click the cap back on the pen,
I see it clearly
bright–a star
vibrant color
glowing from the inside,
illuminating the page
in front of me.
