A Good Little Girls Zine

Thought:

A waterfall

of shoulds…

I should be less stressed,

I should lose weight,

I should not eat as much sugar,

I should be able to lose weight,

I should be able to not stress eat,

I should work a less stressful job,

I should find a better paying job,

I should have lost the weight already,

I should stop tracking my food,

I should continue tracking my food,

I should eat less carbs,

I should workout more,

I should be smaller,

smaller,

smaller,

should shrink

and celebrate

the shrink.

Disrupt:

I should be me. I am teaching in the most challenging time in education. I am exhausted. I have been bleeding for 4 weeks. I am me. I am eating and walking and doing what I need. I am showing up for me and them every day. Her weight loss is not a reflection of my body. We are not the same person. Different bodies. Separate bodies. Separate minds. Separate lives.

Separate yourself from the hive mindset
to
be
skinny.

Mend:

Women are beautiful with bellies and thick thighs, and wide ass asses and hips. I am beautiful. I am.
