A Good Little Girls Zine

Cogs On a Wheel

DSCN0740

Saturday. Early Morning. Awake and ready—
to start vacation;
hit the road;
clean, organize, clear;
fix house matters;
eat;
explore;
listen;
budget.

Saturday. Early Morning. Awake and looking—
at the last 10 months;
at the future;
at the large empty room–a blank canvas suddenly erased of color, noise;
at my decision;
at all of you talking about the next year
your hopes and dreams for a new school year, a better one.

Saturday.  Early Morning. Awake and still—
with the silence that fills my split level home;
next to a partner asleep;
with the tall trees swaying outside;
my mind and me.

Saturday.  Early Morning. Awake.
