A Good Little Girls Zine

Teacher:  Class I have found an area where we can be more successful.
Students (continue low chatter aka no one cares)

Teachers:  Ladies and gentlemen, listen up.  Today is about one word…revision.
[Students stare back blankly; one considers asking to go to the bathroom.]

Teacher:  That’s right!  I said it!  Revision!  Listen to this.  Revision is part of the process of writing!  [Pause] Revision [dramatic pause] is part of the process of writing! Yes!
[One student in the corner giggles; it’s all the teacher needs to get even more amped]

Teacher jazz slides down the aisle:  Revision ladies and gentlemen is what?
Students stare back in silence.
Teacher:  I said, Revision is…
One quiet student whispers: part of writing?
Teacher:  Yes!  Say it louder!
Two brave soles:  Revision! is part of writing!

Teacher:  Yes!  Today’s about Revision
All students in unison: REVISE, Revise, revise

Revision!
