When I see me, I see
a resilient body that could and has and will
heal itself, stand back up, build muscle, curve in ways only a woman can
When I see me, I see
the large scale capacity of a mind
who delivers empathy, love, creativity
a mind who is a doer
When I see me, I can
sometimes forget and only see that rounded belly and back fat
so I’m writing this to remember, not to forget
When I see me, remember, don’t forget.
