Endless beaches—coast to coast
Rows and rows of palm trees
Spread
Across the sandy shores unyielding
— a kind, sweet night
A spa, a pool, a walk
That gave
–a silent night
So calm, so still
I know sometimes
I may not say it
I know sometimes
You may not feel it
But still,
You stand
Next to me always
Holding, holding, holding me up
When the storm clouds
Finally parted,
That day our walk,
Our 3 mile trek
We started alone
At first, then soon—
She greeted us with her rolling waves
Reminding me of
How simple it is:
To live, to walk, to be
By you.
The silent wind
Ran through our hair
The gentle waves
Forever engrained—a kind, sweet day.
