A Good Little Girls Zine

Blame it on Them.

They. They are to blame for your false sense of knowledge and power.
they give you so much power, and you.
you glide upwards, a helium balloon,
eyes trained on me.
Me.

You. a constant repetitive machine,
robot filled with ancient philosophies on how I must live my life,
a constant repetitive flow of words,
orders
on how we must fix the problems you perceive us to have
with your blind misconceptions
and your bulldozer tactics
you wipe clean all of us
and in the end

you

you lose–

you      lose     me,
the real me
she will remain                      far away
from you
you and your ancient
unseeing eyes and
your large, scary bulldozer.

But, I don’t blame you.
No. I blame them.
They gave you power.
They made you believe
because of your gender,
because of your birth,
you would be above,
in charge.
They listened and made you feel right

even when you are dead wrong!
