A Good Little Girls Zine

Today I marched in fully equipped, fiercely prepared, breathing fiery energy into a lesson that was sure to inspire, influence, invigorate.

I hit play and asked my usual pointed question to which you usually excitedly respond with new thoughts you seem to be discovering live, in this very moment. I even wait longer than usual, for I am certain you felt it—the earth move with her words, allured as I was a mere 24 hours prior.

Instead. You stare back, cameras off, into the silence, leaving our canvas absolutely blank.

Your empty eyes and closed lips and silent black squares linger gently saying: “come on back down to earth Ms. Chintha, it’s day one back, in-person, in hybrid, in a pandemic.

So we laugh at the difference between expectation and real life.
