A Good Little Girls Zine

First Frost

Autumn’s first frost forms,

a thin layer of crystals cover the blades of grass

we take our early morn’ family walk,

thinking

thinking

i make lists upon lists, reminders for the lists, pin it all inside my cold cold brain.

With a flick of my wrist and you tug me back, it is autumn’s first frost and crystals cover the blades of grass

you sniff and lick and contemplate what the leaves hide

and slowly the lists float into the sky releasing me of their weight so I can sniff and lick and contemplate the leaves too.
