A Good Little Girls Zine

“I want to be a lawyer,”
(so I’m going to argue with you about everything,)
Yeah?
“like what makes a poem a poem?”
Anything
“Yeah but are you saying that one word is a poem?”
Maybe
“Is this desk a poem?”
Is it?
“But how does anyone know how to define a poem?”
Good question, how?
“Yeah but you just made us list all the things that make a poem a poem!”
Yes.
“So you are saying that’s what makes a poem.”
Well that’s what your classmates said based on their investigations.
So far all I’ve done is write down what they’ve said.
“No but…(pauses silently), I’m right.”

You know, I think it’s super cool that you want to be a lawyer.
“Thank you!”
