Ode to Mr. O

To you Mr. O who taught me

Not only how to be a teacher, but also how to live my life the right way.

Some may misinterpret your talents as slacking or below par,

But the truth is your way makes life easy

It abandons anxiety, drama, frustrations.

Why put up posters, when you’ll have to take them done anyway?

Laugh, get on every field trip you can, have a beer at the end of the day.

Others may misinterpret your actions as youth and inexperience.

But the truth is:

Your wisdom has shown me that life can be easy.

To you, who told me:

Let go of your expectations and more importantly other people’s expectations for you.

Live; it may sound cliche

Laugh; maybe even trite

Love;

but the truth is your way is better!
